Safety Presentations

Each year Wheatland REA distributes approximately 1500 safety booklets and countless pages of safety tips generated in-house by our staff. We are very pro-active in safety education. One way we get our safety message out to the public is through participation in local events such as KYCN Radio's Ag Expo and the Platte County Home and Garden Show.

Never take chances with electricity! Set a good example for your children by not taking short-cuts with electricity. Short-cuts such as breaking a ground prong off a three prong plug-in could get someone seriously hurt or killed.

Our Electrical Hazard Awareness Program is a big hit with Platte County's school children.

The Town of Wheatland and Wheatland REA are partners in bringing safety education to the public. Their involvement has helped improve the safety classes we offer to the public. Linemen from the town's Electric Department are actively involved in all aspects of the safety classes we present to the public.
